Getting Used to Change

Hello again, and welcome to another Ball of Water Blog. I have promised weekly blog posts, so this is this week's post! Enjoy!

I have volleyball classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Basketball classes were Tuesdays and Thursdays, which means we could share the 2-in-1 field just fine. However, something happened that now Monday, Wednesday, and Friday both volleyball and basketball classes are given. Which means basketball has the field for half the time.

Supposedly this will go back to normal once our school gym is finished (it has been under planning since last year, now under demolition and soon hopefully under construction).

So on Monday we took classes next to the soccer field. That means we did more fitness than volleyball during the first hour. For example, we ran, jumped, did long steps, some abs exercises, etc. because you can't play volleyball on grass. It is too dense. After that, the basketball classes finished at 4pm, while volleyball classes go on until 5pm. Though, you have the choice to leave at 4pm. That meant volleyball could go back to normal.

On Wednesday, the exciting thing happened. We did the usual warmups and stuff. Then, we did auctions/attacks. When you don't know the steps it can be pretty difficult to even try to pass the ball. However, lately not only have I been passing the ball (which I've been trying to since last year). Now, I can pass it with a bit more strength. I also almost served the 'normal' way. Like, you throw the ball in the air and hit it. It almost passed and that's the closest I've been to serving throwing the ball.

Also, did I tell you that lately a lot of people are joining the class? It's amazing, because last year barely any new people came in (at least in such big amounts).

See you later!

Adri

This is the closest I could find on how to do an attack/assault. You do all those steps in 1 second or less. Believe me, it's easier with practice.
