The First Game

This week was the first week I did physical activity literally every weekday. On Monday we jumped on the stairs leading to middle/high school in order to increase strength in our legs. On Tuesday I had GAP and swimming lessons. During GAP we did a variety of exercises but swimming nearly killed my legs. I had volleyball again on Wednesday (I met an amazing new person, great first impression) and finally, on Thursday, we had our first game.
Let me tell you how Thursday went for me. On Tuesday and Thursday I have GAP and swimming. We got a sub teacher for GAP for 3 classes and I personally feel better with this teacher than with the current one. He's happier. Though, the work is more intense. After school I went to swimming. My legs were almost dead, but I really wanted to play the game we had at 5PM. So, my motivation for swimming that day was that if I did a lap and didn't stop until I finished, in my imaginary world it would count for 1 point in benefit of our team.
Finally swimming ended and we went to the school hosting the game. As we were warming up, we realized the girls were tall and their shots were fast and hard. Compared to us, we are smaller and every other shot we do is hard. I got benched for most of the game, I played until the last bit of the second set. During the beginning of the first set we had the lead. Though, I guess the girls playing got too happy and lost control of the ball.
What was fun about this first game is that there are 2 new girls in the team so we got to watch them play. They still got work to do (such as know their places, when to switch, get their nerves handled, etc) but they were good. Overall, the team has improved since last year so I hope we play better during the upcoming tournaments.
